Houston News : Woman gives birth in Houston-area gas station bathroom, gets free gas for a year

This probably wasn’t in the birth plan.

Sergio Mancera and Kaitlyn Fullerton were driving to Victoria, Texas, from Houston when the couple made an emergency stop at a Pilot Flying J gas station that ended in a new addition to the family being born in the bathroom, Fox 26’s Damali Keith reports.

“I was standing up the whole time,” Fullerton told Keith. “I felt the head and then he just came right out and I like grabbed him and I was holding him right here close to me, and that’s when someone outside the restroom was like ‘do you need help?’”

Mancera said one of the women in the bathroom alerted him to what happened.

“I looked up, saw a woman saying ‘hey your wife just gave birth.’ I was like ‘what?’” Mancera said.

Mancera posted a video of the aftermath on TikTok, where it’s been viewed more than 12 million times.

Fullerton and the baby, Callihan, were taken to Sugar Land hospital after the birth. Mancera and Fullerton recorded a video for their YouTube channel chronicling the dramatic and unexpected ordeal.

As a bonus, Pilot Flying J gave the family a gift that’s sure to come in handy: Free coffee and gasoline for a year with a handwritten card and other gifts for Callihan. Fullerton and the baby are home and healthy.

A pit stop turned into a new beginning for a Houston couple at a Flying J gas station in Beasley, Texas.

“She’s a strong one right there. She did a great job,” Mancera said, Keith reports.
