Virtual Easter service at Houston’s Lakewood Church to include Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry

Pastor Joel Osteen and Kayne West will once again share the spotlight at Lakewood Church. Only this time, virtually and with Mariah Carey and Tyler Perry. The celebrities will make an appearance at Lakewood’s Easter Service, the church announced Tuesday.

West and his Sunday Service Choir will perform remotely as will Carey. Perry will share a message of support via webcam.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo and Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena are expected to pre-record a special prayer for the nation.

“We saw an incredible five million people tune in online on Palm Sunday. We expect even more Easter weekend,” said a representative for the church.

Lakewood’s star-studded Easter Sunday service will stream online Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
