Staff photos show scenes from chemical plant explosion near Houston

An overnight explosion at the TPC chemical plant in Port Neches sent three workers to the hospital, sprayed five others with shattered glass and created a smoke plume that could be seen for miles.

Photographers from the Houston Chronicle and Beaumont Enterprise were on hand to capture the scenes from the explosion’s aftermath.
