Sleeping man shot in car at southwest Houston strip center

A man who had pulled off the road to take a nap was shot by an unknown gunman outside a southwest Houston strip center late Tuesday night.

The victim and his passenger were driving in southwest Houston when the driver became tired, so he drove into the parking lot of a shopping center in the 8900 block of Braeswood Boulevard, according to Houston Police Department detective Bobby Salazar. That’s when a masked man walked up to the car and opened fire, striking the victim, Salazar said.
