Man’s body found on side of Loop 610

Litter crews cleaning along South Loop 610 on Wednesday discovered the body of a man who appeared to have been dead for some time.

The group found the corpse, which police said was in a “state of decomposition,” around 10:30 a.m. in some brush adjacent to the westbound lanes of the Loop just west of Calais. The man might have suffered head trauma, although homicide detectives did not find any other definitive injuries.
