Houston-area woman arrested, accused of intentionally striking pregnant lady with her vehicle

A woman accused of intentionally striking a 7-month pregnant woman with her vehicle in northwest Harris County has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, according to Constable Mark Herman.

Vianey Galvan-Valadez was booked into the Harris County Jail after deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s office said she struck another woman with her car in the 4700 block of Spring Cypress Road on Sunday.

Galvan-Valadez is said to have argued with the pregnant woman prior to the incident, deputies said. The argument escalated to the point where she intentionally struck the woman with the side her vehicle, deputies said. She then fled. The pregnant woman fell to the floor and was airlifted to an area hospital. She and her unborn child are expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect was released on a $30,000 bond.
