Teen allegedly shoots girlfriend in leg at north Harris County apartment complex

A 16-year-old boy is suspected of shooting a teenage girl in the leg at a northern Harris County apartment building on Christmas Day, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded before noon to the housing complex in the 300 block of Parrametta, near Cypress Station. Authorities there found a wounded 17-year-old girl, and identified the teen she was dating as a possible suspect.

“Thankfully the female is stable,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted, “but it could’ve been a more serious wound.”

He did not immediately release additional information.

“Getting conflicting statements at the scene, so details remain unknown,” he added. “Investigators & I are headed to the scene.”
