Hot Wheels Legends Tour roars back in Houston this April

These are literally big toys for big boys.  The Hot Wheels™ Legends Tour is back for the third year and on the hunt for the next life-size custom car worthy of becoming a Hot Wheels die-cast toy, according to a news release.

One of the world’s largest traveling car shows will make a pit stop in Houston on Aptil 18,  looking for cars that embody the Hot Wheels high standards of performance and design.

“After stopping in more than 20 different cities and seeing almost 10,000 custom builds over the last two years, we’ve been blown away by our fans’ talent and serious passion for cars,” said Ted Wu, Head of Hot Wheels Design, Mattel. “The Legends Tour brings together cars of almost every make and model that embody the Hot Wheels brand and we’re excited to take it to the next level in an even bigger and better way in 2020.”

In 2019, the Hot Wheels Legends tour brought together more than 90,000 fans and 5,000 custom cars from across the United States, Mexico and Germany. Continuing in the Hot Wheels true challenger spirit, the third annual tour will expand to stops in new cities like Boston and Milwaukee, giving fans even more chances to compete to see their custom car become an iconic 1:64 die-cast toy vehicle, according to the release.

The location for this year’s stop in Houston has yet to be announced. Last year, the tour stopped at the Walmart on 3450 FM 1960 Road.
